CHICAGO, March 5 (Reuters) - Basis bids were lower for soybeans at some processing facilities in the U.S. Midwest on Thursday following recent sales by farmers, dealers said.

  • Bids were largely steady to higher for corn at grain elevators and processors.

  • Soy basis bids eased at processors in Decatur, Illinois, and Council Bluffs, Iowa, and were mixed at river terminals.

  • At a river terminal in Seneca, Illinois, soy and corn basis bids edged up for delivery by March 15.

  • Farmer sales have picked up as futures prices have improved, dealers said.

  • Chicago Board of Trade May corn CK26 futures reached their highest level since January 12. May soybeans SK26 were near a contract high reached on Monday.
