1544 ET - Domino's Pizza is likely to see a summer tailwind from watch parties for the FIFA World Cup, Deutsche Bank analyst Lauren Silberman writes in a note. She notes that Domino's sold about 40% more pizzas on Super Bowl Sunday, which drew about 125 million U.S. viewers, than on a typical Sunday. About 25 million U.S. viewers tuned in to the 2022 World Cup Final, and 19.9 million watched the U.S.-England match. "Given the increase in the overall number of games that will be played, the fact that the games will be played in U.S. time zones, and that soccer has been increasing in popularity over the years, we believe the impact on US sales could be more meaningful than seen historically," Silberman writes.
