Domino's Positioned for Share Gains Despite Pizza Sentiment -- Market Talk

Dow Jones03-07

1543 ET - Domino's Pizza is well-positioned to gain market share despite an overall negative sentiment around the U.S. pizza industry from the growth of delivery aggregators and GLP-1s, Deutsche Bank analyst Lauren Silberman writes in a note. The 2025 combined 61% market share of the four top pizza players -- Domino's, Pizza Hut, Papa Johns, and Little Caesars -- is in line with 2019, Silberman notes, suggesting that the companies are taking share from each other rather than independent operators. Domino's has outperformed Pizza Hut and Papa Johns over the past two years, and its guidance implies system sales growth of about 5%, with promotions, menu innovations, and the FIFA World Cup providing near-term catalysts. Domino's is up 1.5%. (elias.schisgall@wsj.com)
