MT Newswires Live03:17

Microsoft (MSFT)-backed OpenAI introduced Codex Security, an AI-powered application-security agent designed to identify complex vulnerabilities in code, validate risks and propose fixes to help software developers.

The tool analyzes code repositories to map how a system works and build a tailored threat model, allowing it to flag higher-impact vulnerabilities and reduce false positives, the company said Friday in a blog post.

Codex Security is rolling out in research preview to ChatGPT Enterprise, Business and Edu customers via the Codex web platform, with free usage available for the first month, the company said.
