DraftKings Eyes Institutional Investors as New Customer -- Market Talk

Dow Jones01:33

1233 ET - DraftKings' prediction markets offering could eventually attract institutional investors in addition to its existing retail betting and trading customer base, says Jeanine Hightower-Sellitto, head of DraftKings Predictions. Hightower-Sellitto tells WSJ that DraftKings Predictions is the same type of business as other trading exchanges, making it a potential point of interest for new types of investors and traders on the platform. Before joining DraftKings, Hightower-Sellitto worked at several crypto and commodity exchange companies. She says increasing clarity from federal regulators is also helping the prediction markets industry mature and become less "fringe." (katherine.hamilton@wsj.com)
