Victoria's Secret Sees Benefit from Valentine's Day Push -- Market Talk

Dow Jones03-06

1400 ET - Victoria's Secret says its focus on Valentine's Day has paid off. This year, the bra and apparel retailer worked to offer its Valentine's assortment earlier and drew attention with a campaign featuring celebrity Hailey Bieber, Chief Executive Hillary Super says during a call with analysts. The company's PINK brand also built on a prior partnership with K-pop group TWICE with a Valentine's day campaign, she says. Both brands' collections for the holiday outperformed expectations with double-digit sales growth, she says. "The week of Valentine's Day, store traffic increased significantly year-over-year, meaningfully outperforming the mall," she says. (kelly.cloonan@wsj.com)
