Wellgistics Health (WGRX) said Monday it is launching Forzet, a medical food intended for dietary management of side effects like muscle loss associated with weight-loss therapies.

The company said that Forzet will initially be available to physicians and pharmacists who prescribe and dispense GLP-1 agonist drugs, in its affiliated pharmacies and certain members of the Wellgistics Pharmacy Network.

Forzet's formulation has been evaluated in several clinical studies, including in patients with Type 2 diabetes, heart failure, and COPD in Europe, the company said.

Wellgistics added that Forzet is available over the counter and does not require a prescription.

Shares of the company were up 3% in Monday's premarket activity.
