Ramaco Resources (METC) is discussing potential supply deals with Sumitomo, Iwatani and other Japanese companies for rare earths it plans to mine in Wyoming, Bloomberg News reported Tuesday, citing Ramaco Chief Executive Randall Atkins.

The US coal producer has held meetings with companies to assess how they might get involved in its Brook mine in Wyoming, the news outlet quoted Atkins as saying.

Ramaco is conducting a pre-feasibility study for the mine, with completion expected later this year, Bloomberg reported, citing Atkins.
