GEM (SHE:002340) has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with China ENFI Engineering Technology to develop and utilize critical mineral resources, according to a Shenzhen Stock Exchange filing on Monday.
Under the deal, ENFI will contribute its expertise in high-pressure acid leaching (HPAL) technology for laterite nickel ore, while GEM, a waste recycling company, said the partnership will leverage its global circular economy infrastructure, among others.
The partnership will remain in effect until Dec. 31, 2030.
