Uber Technologies (UBER) is launching a new chauffeur ride option called Uber Elite aimed at corporate and executive travelers, Bloomberg reported Thursday, citing the company.
The service will be the most expensive ride option available on the Uber app, the report said. Uber is partnering with fleet companies that employ professional chauffeurs to provide rides in luxury vehicles such as the Cadillac Escalade, Lucid Air and Lincoln Navigator, the report added.
The report said Uber Elite is currently invite-only and available to frequent Uber Black users and corporate account customers in Los Angeles and San Francisco and soon will be rolled out in New York City.
The rideshare company expects to expand the service to all riders in US and abroad in the future, the report said.
Uber did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
