Silicon Laboratories (SLAB) and Korea-based intelligent tire system company BANF said Tuesday that they have launched a real-time, high-resolution tire data processing system for autonomous vehicles and connected fleets.
BANF has developed the system by integrating its in-tire sensor platform with Silicon Laboratories' BG22 Bluetooth LE SoC, the companies said.
BANF plans to use accumulated tire data to expand into predictive maintenance, route optimization, and insurance-linked services, the companies said.
