Investors Could Accumulate SIA Engineering, SATS Shares Amid Mideast Conflict -- Market Talk

Dow Jones03-11

0609 GMT - Investors could consider accumulating shares of SIA Engineering and SATS Ltd. amid the ongoing Middle East conflict, say OCBC Group Research analysts in a note. Airline-maintenance company SIA Engineering is the analysts' preferred pick in the aviation complex as the ongoing maintenance, repair and overhaul upcycle remains intact despite geopolitical tensions. Air cargo handler SATS doesn't have large direct exposure to the Middle East and its extensive network should allow it to capture trade flows rerouted by the conflict, the analysts say. Its recent share-price correction could be a buying opportunity, they add. Share prices are likely to remain under pressure in the near term as the Mideast conflict doesn't yet have a clear resolution, they say. (megan.cheah@wsj.com)
