JPMorgan hires senior banker to strengthen mid-cap investment banking

March 10 (Reuters) - JPMorgan Chase JPM.N hired Firdaus Pohowalla as a managing director to strengthen the firm's North America mid‑cap mergers and acquisitions team, according to an internal memo reviewed by Reuters.

THE CONTEXT

  • Pohowalla will join a growing team of more than 250 bankers dedicated to mid-sized companies and investors.

EXPERIENCE

  • Pohowalla has nearly 30 years of experience advising clients across industrial automation, supply‑chain technology and capital‑goods sectors.

  • He most recently led investment‑banking coverage for industrial and supply‑chain technology at Cascadia Capital, spanning hardware, software and services.

  • Prior to that, he held senior roles at Barclays and UBS, where he developed and led coverage efforts across multiple Diversified Industries sub‑sectors.

  • He will be based in Seattle and report jointly to Andrew Castaldo and Andrew Martin, co‑heads of North America mid‑cap M&A, according to the memo
