Raytheon, a business of RTX, received a $2 billion ceiling modification to its previously awarded contract for the Air Force's Advanced Extremely High Frequency Terminal.

The modification brings the total face value of the contract to $2.97 billion, up from $960 million. No funds are obligated at the time of the award, the Defense Department said Friday.

Work under the contract will be done in Marlboro, Mass. and Largo, Fla., and is expected to be complete by Aug. 9, 2031.

The strategic communications division of the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center is the contracting activity.
