Kim DeDominicis was a rising senior at Bucknell University when she landed an internship that opened new doors for her. "I spent that first summer at T. Rowe Price, and the rest is history," she says.
DeDominicis, 49, rejoined the firm in 2003 as a capital markets analyst and quickly climbed the ranks. In 2007, she joined the firm's multi-asset division as an investment analyst. Today, she serves as lead portfolio manager for T. Rowe's college savings business and is one of three portfolio managers of T. Rowe's target-date franchise, which oversaw more than $550 billion in assets as of the end of September.
Wyatt Lee, T. Rowe's head of target-date strategies, describes DeDominicis as someone highly regarded by clients and peers alike, citing the recognition she received from Morningstar for excellence in portfolio management.
Ask DeDominicis, and she'll say her crowning achievement is serving as a mentor to aspiring analysts, particularly young women. "I want to impart my passion and my excitement about this industry on other women to show them the asset management industry is a wonderful place," she says.
