March 16 (Reuters) - The tech-heavy Nasdaq led Wall Street's main stock indexes higher on Monday, with Meta among the top gainers after a report said the megacap was prepping for sweeping AI-related layoffs, even as a raging Middle East conflict kept risk-taking in check. .N

At 11:30 EDT, the Dow Jones Industrial Average .DJI was up 1.06% at 47,052.50. The S&P 500 .SPX was up 1.21% at 6,712.60, and the Nasdaq Composite .IXIC was up 1.44% at 22,422.49.
