China Shenhua Energy's (SHA:601088, HKG:1088) coal sales slipped 3.2% to 33.2 million tonnes in February from 34.3 million tonnes in the year-ago period, according to a Monday filing with the Shanghai bourse.
Commercial coal production fell 7% to 25.1 million tonnes from 27.0 million tonnes in the prior-year period.
Power output slid 15% to 12.8 billion kilowatt-hours from 15.1 billion kilowatt-hours, while gross power generation declined 15% year over year to 13.7 billion kilowatt-hours from 16 billion kilowatt-hours.
Shares slipped 1% in Hong Kong and Shanghai during late morning trading on Monday.
