Unilever's Potential Food Split is Surprising -- Market Talk
Dow Jones18:10
1009 GMT - Unilever weighing future options for its foods portfolio--including the potential separation of assets--albeit in early stages, is surprising given its CEO's comments during its 2025 results, analysts at Barclays say. Chief Executive Fernando Fernandez had said that by holding onto the foods portfolio its value would only increase, the analysts write. The report of a potential split will also prompt more questions for management, at a time when operational execution is a priority, they add. Shares are down 1.3% at 4,816.5 pence.
