Apple (AAPL) is blocking updates for artificial intelligence-powered vibe coding apps over alleged violations of the tech giant's App Store policies, The Information reported Wednesday, citing unnamed sources.
The company said it will allow the updates, but only if the app developers make modifications, according to the report. The vibe coding apps could pose a threat to the company because they help people make apps that are not on the App Store and compete with Apple's Xcode product, according to The Information.
Apple didn't immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
