Market Chatter: Uniqlo Eyes Dodger Stadium Naming Rights in US Branding Push

MT Newswires Live03-17

Uniqlo, owned by Fast Retailing (TYO:9983, HKG:6288), is negotiating a partnership with the Los Angeles Dodgers to strengthen brand visibility in the U.S, Nikkei reported Tuesday.

The apparel retailer may secure naming rights for certain areas of Dodger Stadium, including the field, though not the entire venue, according to the report.

The Dodgers' roster includes Japanese players such as Shohei Ohtani, Yoshinobu Yamamoto and Roki Sasaki, drawing increased interest from Japanese sponsors, the report said.

Uniqlo operates 77 stores in the U.S. and reported strong North American sales in the fiscal year ended August 2025. The potential deal aligns with Fast Retailing's broader strategy of expanding global brand recognition through sports partnerships, according to the report.
