LG Uplus (KRX:032640) and spatial data and geospatial ICT company Allforland signed a memorandum of understanding to develop its next-generation bus information system (BIS), the South Korean mobile network operator said in a Tuesday release.

In 2025, LG Uplus and Allforland co-developed the AI Live Bus, a real-time kinematic-based BIS. Under the latest agreement, the companies will upgrade the AI Live Bus and launch it as a subscription service to drive wider adoption, the release said.

LG Uplus and Allforland are also co-developing a solar-powered bus information terminal (BIT) that delivers arrival updates with low power usage, with no requirement for separate electrical wiring, it said.

Shares of LG Uplus rose nearly 4% at market close.
