1301 ET - Dollar Tree CEO Mike Creedon told JPMorgan analysts that he's comfortable with the company's F1Q outlook, which calls for comparable sales to grow 3% to 4%. He notes in a conversation that "we're pleased with what we're seeing to date," the analysts say in a research note. Creedon also says that the current-quarter forecast doesn't factor in two potential upside opportunities. First, stimulus and tax refunds could provide a boost to sales, as "any time our core customer has more income or dollars in their wallet it can bode favorably," Creedon says. And Dollar Tree could outperform around Easter, similar to how better-than-expected trends across discretionary categories during the holiday season fueled F4Q results, the analysts say. Shares climb 6.5%. (connor.hart@wsj.com)
