Trump Calls on Fed to Cut Interest Rates 'Right Now' -- WSJ

President Trump urged Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell to cut interest rates "right now," saying during a White House meeting that the central bank "should have a special meeting" to reduce rates.
"What's a better time to cut interest rates than now? A third grade student would know that," the president said. The Fed kicks off its two-day March meeting on Tuesday and is slated to announce its decision on rates Wednesday at 2 p.m. ET.
