Samsung Electronics will exclusively provide its upcoming High Bandwidth Memory to Microsoft-backed (MSFT) OpenAI for its first artificial intelligence chip, Titan, multiple media outlets reported Thursday, citing industry sources.

The company agreed to deliver up to 800 million gigabits of the 12-stack memory product in H2, representing roughly 7% of its anticipated annual output of more than 11 billion gigabits, the media outlets reported.

The memory components will be paired with the Titan chip, which is slated for launch later this year, the publication added.

Samsung Electronics, Microsoft and OpenAI did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
