"Iran has been a constant threat to the United States for an extended period of time, and posed an immediate threat at this time," Ratcliffe said during a Senate committee hearing on Wednesday. He said he disagreed with the views of Joe Kent, the former director of the National Counterterrorism Center who resigned Tuesday due to his opposition to the Iran war.
