Market Chatter: Disney's ABC Could Lose Tens of Millions of Dollars Over 'The Bachelorette' Cancellation

Walt Disney's (DIS) ABC could lose tens of millions of dollars if it is unable to save "The Bachelorette," Variety reported Thursday, citing sources familiar with the matter.

The losses would include license fees to Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) and marketing revenue, according to the report.

ABC pulled the reality TV show after a video emerged showing the program's star accidentally hitting a child in an alleged domestic violence incident, the report said.

Warner Bros. Discovery gets paid a license fee regardless of whether the show airs, the report added.

ABC did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comment.
