Autoliv to Launch Motorcycle Airbag Vest With RS Taichi

MT Newswires Live03-24

Autoliv (ALV) said Tuesday it will bring to market its first complete wearable protection for motorcycle riders, a vest with an integrated airbag system designed to reduce the risk of critical injuries in the event of a crash, in collaboration with RS Taichi.

The company said the new product, integrated into the RS Taichi Airbag Vest T-SABE, is designed to reduce the risk of serious injuries in crashes.

The launch follows Autoliv's recent work on an airbag system for the Yamaha Tricity 300, signaling a broader push into two-wheeler safety, it added.

Autoliv said the vest leverages its crash research and biomechanics expertise and is built as a scalable platform that can be adapted across different riding styles and markets.
