Bharat Petroleum JV Secures 10KTPA Green Hydrogen Supply Deal with Numaligarh Refinery

Bharat Petroleum (NSE:BPCL, BOM:500547) said its joint venture NeuEN Green Energy has secured a contract to supply 10,000 tons per annum of green hydrogen to Numaligarh Refinery, according to a Tuesday filing on Indian bourses.

NeuEN is a 50:50 joint venture between Bharat Petroleum and Sembcorp Green Hydrogen India, a subsidiary of Sembcorp Industries.

The project involves setting up a 10 KTPA green hydrogen facility at NRL's refinery in Assam under a long-term offtake arrangement, with commercial operations expected to begin in 2028.
