Haitian Water Group (SHA:603759) and Tongwei (SHA:600438) unit Tongwei Solar Energy signed a strategic cooperation agreement involving photovoltaic cells, according to a Tuesday filing with the Shanghai bourse.
The water company will utilize Tongwei's photovoltaic slurry and other related products at competitive prices.
Haitian will also have priority access to Tongwei's research and development results, and the two companies will cooperate in areas such as solar cell pastes, the filing said.
Shares in Haitian closed 10% higher while Tongwei slipped 3% on Tuesday.
