Altria's Oral Nicotine Pouches Expand to Nationwide Retail

Altria Group (MO) announced Monday its oral nicotine pouches, branded as on! PLUS, have expanded to retail stores nationwide in the US.

The pouches, made by its unit Helix Innovations, are a smoke-free alternative. The product was the first to receive approval under a pilot program by the US Food and Drug Administration, designed to speed up the review of nicotine pouch products.

They were already available via e-commerce and in retail stores in North Carolina, Florida, and Texas, with wholesales deliveries beginning in mid-March.

Shares of Altria dropped fractionally in recent trading.
