Charles Schwab CEO Richard Wurster Made $18.8M in 2025

Charles Schwab Chief Executive Richard Wurster made a total of $18.8 million in 2025.

Wurster, who became chief executive in January 2025, saw his pay increase from $12.5 million the year before.

The value of Wurster's stock awards rose by $2.8 million, making up $7.6 million of his total compensation. His base salary, option awards and non-equity incentive plan compensation also rose.

Michael Verdeschi, the bank's chief financial officer, made $8.1 million, up from $6.6 million the year before.

Co-Chair Charles Schwab made roughly the same as he did in 2024. Walt Bettinger, who retired as chief executive at the end of 2024 and is now a co-chair, saw his pay decline by about $20 million to $6.3 million.
