Entergy (ETR) shares jumped 8.4% after its unit Entergy Louisiana said Friday it has agreed to an expanded power supply contract with Meta Platforms (META) to support the technology company's Northeast Louisiana computing facility.

More than 4.8 million shares of Entergy traded intraday compared with a daily average of about 2.6 million.
