Tsingtao's Rising Average Selling Price Could Support Margin Expansion -- Market Talk

Dow Jones03-27

0444 GMT - Tsingtao Brewery's rising average selling price could support robust margin expansion this year, says DBS Group Research analysts in a note. The brewer outperformed the industry's volume decline as it swiftly adapted to new channels and tailored its product launches, the analysts say. Its mid-to-high end beers are likely to continue gaining traction this year, they add, noting they are key drivers of the company's product mix upgrade. Major sporting events should support beer consumption and boost sales volume, they say. DBS maintains its buy rating and H share target price of HK$75.00. Shares are up 0.9% at HK$49.08.
