Stock futures were edging higher Friday after the market took little reassurance from President Donald Trump saying he would delay attacks on Iranian energy plants.

These stocks were making moves in premarket trading:

Tesla slid 0.2% to $371.35. The electric-vehicle maker's stock needs to close above $367.96 to snap a five-week losing streak. Ever since the company reported strong fourth-quarter earnings, investors have been waiting for a fresh catalyst, such as the expansion of Tesla's robo-taxi business or the unveiling of the third generation of Tesla's Optimus humanoid robot.

Meta Platforms was flat. Shares in the Facebook owner tumbled 8% on Thursday following a landmark social-media trial that found both Meta and Google contributed to mental-health issues of a young woman during her childhood and teenage years because of the addictive nature of their products. Meta and Google both told Barron's they disagreed with the verdict and plan to appeal.

Unity Software jumped 15% after the videogame developer said it expects its first-quarter adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (Ebitda) and revenue to come in above guidance. Unity also said it would refocus its portfolio by exiting certain businesses.

Brown-Forman dipped 0.6%, after shares in the Jack Daniel's owner surged 9.6% on Thursday. Brown-Forman said it was in discussions about a merger with Absolut vodka maker Pernod Ricard late Thursday, confirming earlier reports.

Carnival was 0.9% lower ahead of the cruise-line operator's first-quarter earnings, due out shortly before the opening bell.

Chinese electric-vehicle maker BYD is also set to report earnings on Friday.
