Alphabet's (GOOG, GOOGL) Google plans to financially support a multibillion-dollar data center in Texas that is leased to Amazon-backed (AMZN) Anthropic, the Financial Times reported Friday, citing people familiar with the matter.

The financial backing, which is expected to be finalized in the coming weeks, would include offering construction loans for the site's operator -- Nexus Data Centers -- the people reportedly told the FT.

Google and Anthropic didn't immediately reply to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
