Norwegian's Board Refresh Viewed With 'Tempered Optimism' -- Market Talk

Dow Jones02:55

1455 ET - Norwegian Cruise Line will reshape its board after reaching a truce with activist Elliott Investment Management. "We view the inclusion of former British Airways and Disney Experiences executives as good adjacencies to the Cruise industry and the cooperation agreement with Elliott as a sign that things will progress relatively smoothly and without hostility," Jefferies analysts say in a research note. They expected the board overall to provide a modest positive for the stock, but that wasn't the case. Shares fall 7.3%. (connor.hart@wsj.com)
