Spark New Zealand (NZE:SPK, ASX:SPK) said Tuesday it has completed a nationwide shutdown of its 3G network in New Zealand as part of a move to shift customers to 4G and 5G.

"Shutting down 3G allows Spark to continue investing in its modern 4G and 5G mobile network, supporting faster speeds, improved reliability, and the growing data demands of everyday life," the company said in a statement.
