Miran Wants Reaffirmation of Fed's Traditional Views on Oil -- Market Talk

1037 ET - Ahead of Fed Chair Powell's remarks today, Fed governor Stephen Miran says he would love to hear reaffirmation of the central bank's traditional views on oil supply shocks, in which they typically look through short-term price increases. Miran has advocated for four interest rate cuts this year to support the labor market despite rising oil prices. "I'd love to hear reaffirmation of the Fed's traditional views on oil," he said on CNBC. (jessica.coacci@wsj.com)
