Iran has launched a campaign, called "Janfada" or "Sacrificing Life," to recruit volunteers to fight American forces amid reports the U.S. may launch a ground operation against the Islamic republic, according to a text message sent to mobile subscribers in Iran.
"Simultaneously with the threats of the American-Zionist enemy against the islands and borders of Iran, the national Janfada campaign has been launched to declare readiness to defend the country's territory," the text message said.
Meanwhile, a resident in Isfahan also said that balaclava-clad security forces had set up checkpoints in the central Iranian city and nearby towns Saturday.
