Toyota Motor is recalling over 15,000 of its 2022-2024 Lexus LX vehicles over concerns that passenger-side airbags aren't deploying correctly.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, which sets and enforces vehicle safety standards, said Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing is recalling the vehicles to address an issue that the front passenger seat may not have enough clearance between the seat frame and the stopper, which can cause the occupant classification system sensor to misidentify an occupant.

As part of the recall, is affecting up to about 15,264 vehicles, the carmaker's dealers will inspect and replace the front passenger seat frame assembly, as necessary.

Toyota's numbers for this recall are 26LB03 and 26LA03.
