Diageo's Choice for North America CEO Looks Solid -- Market Talk
Dow Jones04-01
1416 GMT - Diageo's new North America boss should reassure investors, Barclays analysts write in a note. John O'Keeffe will take the reins at the booze group's key North America business after predecessor Sally Grimes stepped down. O'Keeffe, a former head of Guinness, is "well-regarded by the investor community and is seen as a steady and credible operator," Barclays says, noting that his experience with beer is particularly relevant. "Overall, we view John O'Keeffe as a strong and reassuring successor to Sally Grimes," the bank says. (joshua.kirby@wsj.com; @joshualeokirby)
