Finnish President Alexander Stubb said Wednesday that he had "constructive discussion and exchange of ideas" with Trump on Iran, Ukraine and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. "Problems are there to be solved, pragmatically," Stubb said in a post on X.
The Finnish president has developed a bond with Trump, exchanging texts and phone calls with him, and communicating Europe's views to the president. Stubb is a champion of NATO, which Trump has raised the possibility of withdrawing from if allies don't help reopen the Strait of Hormuz, The Wall Street Journal has reported.
