U.S. Natural Gas Extends Losses on Mild Weather -- Market Talk
Dow Jones04-02 03:31
1531 ET - U.S. natural gas futures fall for a third straight session as spring weather keeps a lid on demand. Weather models added some heating demand in the East, but "with April now on the calendar, adding heating degree days will be mostly a moot point," Dennis Kissler of BOK Financial says in a note. Saturation of supply will likely remain "until we get some hopefully early summer A/C cooling demand," he adds. "Longer term, the LNG export picture for the U.S. looks promising as Asia should be looking for reliable U.S. supplies." Nymex natural gas settles down 2.3% at $2.819/mmBtu. (anthony.harrup@wsj.com)
