Centene Units Receive Regulatory Approval for Merger

Centene (CNC) units Carolina Complete Health and WellCare of North Carolina said Thursday the companies received regulatory approval to close their planned merger.

The combined entity will operate under the Carolina Complete Health brand and is expected to expand the ability to serve members enrolled in government-sponsored health insurance programs across North Carolina, according to a statement.

The combined company will also offer revamped value-added services to support members in segments like food insecurity, maternal and preventive health, as well as youth development, the company said.
