HSBC Raises U.S. Treasury Yield Targets for Coming Quarters -- Market Talk

0533 GMT - HSBC slightly raises its forecasts for the 10-year U.S. Treasury yield for 2Q and 3Q, according to strategist Dhiraj Narula in a note. HSBC expects the 10-year Treasury yield at 4.30% in both periods, but up by 10 and five bps, respectively, versus its previous projections. The bank, however, retains its projection for the year-end level of the 10-year Treasury yield at 4.30%. Earlier in the week, HSBC shifted its U.S. rates conviction to neutral from mildly bearish. The 10-year Treasury yield last trades at 4.375%, up 5.5 bps, according to Tradeweb. (emese.bartha@wsj.com)
