0350 GMT - Advanced Micro-Fabrication Equipment should benefit from China's rising memory capacity expansion, Jefferies analysts say in a research note. Chinese memory fabs could expand capacity by over 100,000 wafers a month in 2026, which could release demand for chip-making equipment, the analysts say. "We believe AMEC with 60-70% exposure to memory in orders could be a major beneficiary amid this trend," they note. Chinese fabs' continued expansion in advanced logic could also further contribute to AMEC's growth momentum, they add. Although there may be some market concerns over the U.S. potentially relaxing some export controls on chip-making equipment to China as a bargaining chip, Jefferies thinks the long-term localization trend is intact. Shares are 5.0% lower at 297.99 yuan. (sherry.qin@wsj.com)
