1230 ET - Air Canada has a deep internal bench of candidates to choose from as it searches for a new leader, BMO's Fadi Chamoun says in a note. CEO Michael Rousseau's retirement came earlier than anticipated, Chamoun says, following his English-only video message after the tragic accident at New York's LaGuardia Airport on March 22. Rousseau was under pressure to resign from politicians and many others in French-speaking Quebec, where the airline is based. Rousseau was criticized for not sharing his condolences in French. Chamoun says the board is evaluating both internal and external candidates. (adriano.marchese@wsj.com)
