Burlington's Revamped Stores are Providing a Boost -- Market Talk

1346 ET - Burlington Stores has been looking to improve its in-store shopping experience with a redesigned store layout, new signage and fixtures, clear brand-specific displays and higher product density, Deutsche Bank analysts say in a note after visiting the discount retailer's new flagship store in New York City's Chelsea district. In some stores, Burlington has also introduced display cases for premium leather bags and sunglasses from the likes of Gucci and Versace, the analysts say. "We came away impressed by BURL's merchandise presentation," they say. Burlington is also elevating the presentation of its home offerings and expanding its beauty and personal care assortments, they say. The company's management indicated that the store remodels are providing a sales lift, the analysts say.(kelly.cloonan@wsj.com)
