BUZZ-Copper miners gain as red metal touches two-week high

** U.S.-listed shares of copper miners rise premarket, tracking higher prices of the red metal MET/L

** Benchmark copper CMCU3 on London Metal Exchange up 0.6% at $12,408 a metric ton, after hitting $12,492.50 a metric ton, the highest since March 18

** Copper prices rise to hit their highest in two weeks on hopes that the Iran war is close to ending

** Global mining giants Rio Tinto RIO.N up 1.6% and BHP Group BHP.N rise 1.5%

** Miners Southern Copper SCCO.N and Freeport-McMoRan FCX.N gains 2.1% and 2.3%, respectively

** Canada's Hudbay Minerals HBM.TO, HBM.N jumps 2.9%, Ero Copper ERO.TO, ERO.N adds ~3% and Teck Resources TECKb.TO, TECK.N up 3.9%
