Becton, Dickinson and Company (BDX) said Wednesday that it launched the BD Pyxis Pro Dispensing Solution and the BD Incada Connected Care Platform in Europe.
The company said the Pyxis Pro system is designed to improve medication storage, access and tracking at the point of care, with features including RFID badge scanning, barcode support and illuminated bins to help clinicians retrieve medications more efficiently.
BD also said it plans to roll out its BD Incada Analytics platform to European hospitals next year. The platform provides system-wide visibility into medication inventory and usage through customizable dashboards, it added.
The Incada platform is built on cloud infrastructure from Amazon (AMZN) Web Services and will use the AWS European Sovereign Cloud to allow EU Healthcare Systems to meet their data requirements, BD said.
